Our Impact

Our investment contributes to providing small and medium-sized enterprises with access to long-term finance through loans. This enables economic growth and the creation of jobs and other income-generating opportunities locally. By supporting climate finance, the investment is expected to contribute to a green transition. The investment promotes women as leaders and has products and services specifically targeted at women.

ESG

We are working closely with the bank to further develop its environmental and social management systems. We are also working closely with the bank to develop its anti-corruption management system.

Additionality

Our investment is financially additional as it is made in a challenging context associated with high risk and widespread poverty. The investment is expected to contribute to mobilising capital. The investment is value additional through active value creation, prioritising environmental and social issues, corporate governance, anti-corruption and women's economic empowerment.
